To all private corporations and organizations requesting students to submit certificates of health checkup
Due to the shutdown of campus facilities following measures to prevent infection by COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) among students, faculty and staff members, and related parties in addition to changes to the academic calendar as a result of this, circumstances do not allow for the annual health checkup for students that was planned from April through May 2020 to be implemented as it has been in previous years. Consequently, for the 2020 academic year, a health checkup based on a special measure centered on an online questionnaire will be implemented.
Although Certificates of Annual Health Checkup and Annual Health Checkup Reports cannot be issued because of the adoption of the special measure to only conduct an online questionnaire, a "Annual Health Checkup Completion Form" will be issued upon finishing the online questionnaire as proof of completion of the health checkup. Furthermore, Certificates of Annual Health Checkup showing the results for the 2019 academic year will be issued for students who took the health checkup in the 2019 academic year.
As detailed in an administrative announcement by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) ("Request on the handling of certificates of health for job hunting for persons expected to graduate from or complete a program of study at a university, junior college, or college of technology in the 2020 academic year" issued on March 31, 2020), we kindly ask that you take measures as far as possible to ensure that students will not be required to undergo separate health checkup by themselves at hospitals, etc. If you require a certificate of health checkup for which each examination must be taken in the 2020 academic year, we kindly ask that you consider implementing these at your respective corporations or organizations.
